NEW YORK, June 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Willie Randolph Foundation is proud to announce the kick-off of the second year of its summer sports program for kids aged 7-15 to be held at 11 parks throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The programs will be run in conjunction with the NYC Parks and Recreation Department and will consist of 3 sessions — June 30 - July 18, July 21 - August 8, and August 11 - August 29. It is anticipated that approximately 3,000 kids will participate in these programs free of charge this summer.
Instruction for kids will be provided across a wide range of sports, including baseball, softball, lacrosse, track & field, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
The Willie Randolph Foundation will again be providing $175,000 of financial support to this season’s programs.
